Here are some of the Projects I am working up in my role as Youth and Education Music Coordinator.

INDOOR LANEWAY: an online collaborative arts project between Victorian regional and metropolitan schools.

This project is finished for 2009 but will run again in term 3, 2010.

WAYFARER v2.1 – Urban Agents: ‘Wayfarer v2 -Urban Agents’ is a two week social media event taking place on the streets of Melbourne in late 2010 – Challenge your students to question the status quo and re-invigorate, re-animate and re-interpret the urban spaces they call home.

This project is finished for 2009 but will run again in term 4, 2010.

DIG DEEP Hip-Hop mentorship program: The Dig Deep Drop-in Centre at the Arts Centre provides ongoing inspiration, support and training for emerging artists focusing on hip-hop and urban music. It establishes a collective, creative working environment in the form of ongoing series of weekly workshops in the Alfred Brash SoundHouse.

This project runs throughout the year on Tuesday nights from 5 till 8 p.m.

BIG NOTES - ChangeInspiring Music/Music Inspiring Change: June 16th, Hamer Hall. A 70 minute concert features the music that has inspired musicians, and the music they wrote to change the world… from rock to hip hop to reggae to the genius of our own Australian musical storytellers.

THE FIFTH SEASON: (To be developed in 2011 for a 2012 performance) Tamil Rogeon and I are planning for a youth string project which combines visual imagery, storytelling and music composition/improvisation to explore youth views on the environment. The aim is to run elements this project over two hemispheres simultaneously.
